Contractor licenses are public record and worth understanding before you hire anyone, us included.
C-10, Electrical
The specialty classification for electrical contracting in California. It covers placing, installing, erecting and connecting electrical wiring, fixtures, appliances and equipment. Any contractor doing electrical work as their trade needs it.
B, General Building
A general building classification, which permits work involving two or more unrelated trades. In practice it means we can take on a project where the electrical work sits inside a larger scope rather than having to be carved out of it.
How to check it
The Contractors State License Board publishes every license at cslb.ca.gov. Searching 1125690 shows the status, the classifications, the bond, the workers’ compensation position and any disciplinary history. It takes a minute and it is worth doing for any contractor you are considering.
What a license does not tell you
It confirms someone is entitled to do the work and carries the required bond. It says nothing about whether they turn up on time or leave the site tidy. That part you find out from the work itself, which is why the gallery shows our own photographs rather than stock imagery.
