How quickly will I hear back?
Within one business day for anything sent through this form. If the job is urgent, call rather than write: the phone is answered during office hours and it is the faster route by some margin.
What should I include in the message?
Whatever you already know. What the work involves, roughly when you need it, and where the property is. Photographs help more than descriptions, particularly of the panel: a picture of the main breaker and the panel label answers questions that otherwise take a phone call.
Do you charge to come and look?
Not for quoting a defined job. We look at the work, then send a written scope. Diagnostic work is different, because tracing an intermittent fault is the job rather than the estimate, and we say so before booking it.
Can you give a price over the phone?
For simple work sometimes, with the caveat that it is an estimate rather than a quote. For anything involving a panel, a service change or a commercial site, no. Too much of what sets the price is only visible on site, and a number given blind helps nobody.
Do you work weekends?
Weekend appointments are available by request. Office hours are 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and weekend work is arranged in advance rather than booked on the day.
What happens after I accept a quote?
We pull the permit where one is required and book the work, including any utility disconnect. For a service change that usually puts the start two to three weeks out, most of which is the permit and the utility rather than our own diary.
